Jimmy Russell Awards Names 2017 Recipients

On Monday, June 12, 2017, the YMCA gave their annual Jimmy Russell Awards for 12U USSSA Baseball.  The recipients were (pictured left to right):  John Wesley George, Aaron Romero, & Delfino Rivera.

John Wesley George received the Jimmy Russell Hustle Trophy.  John Wesley is the son of John & Dichelle George.  Aaron Romero received the Katherine Russell Fielding Trophy.  Aaron is the son of Daniel & Karla Romero.  Delfino Rivera received the Jim Guy Russell Pitching Tophy and the Beverly Russell Gammill Hitting Trophy.  Delfino is the son of Filiberto & Luisa Rivera and the late Dora Rivera.

These young men were selected on the merits of their individual character, talents, & skills.  It is an honor for the DWR YMCA to continue the legacy that Jimmy Russell began 61 years earlier in 1956.
