ESPN2 to Broadcast A-State Football Game at Texas State

JONESBORO, Ark. (11/21/16) – The Arkansas State Athletics Department announced Monday that ESPN2 will broadcast the Red Wolves’ final regular-season football game, a Dec. 3 Sun Belt Conference contest at Texas State.

With the addition of national television, the outing at Bobcat Stadium is now set to kickoff at 6:30 p.m. (CT).  A-State will be making its second appearance this season on ESPN2, but has also seen three contests televised on ESPNU, one on the SEC Network, one on CBS Sports Network and four on ESPN3.

The Red Wolves’ 11:00 a.m. (CT) game this Saturday at Louisiana-Lafayette will air on the American Sports Network (ASN) and also appear on ESPN3.  A-State holds an unblemished 6-0 Sun Belt Conference record and sits atop the league standings heading into this weekend’s game against the Ragin’ Cajuns.

Arkansas State needs one more victory to secure its sixth consecutive winning season for the first time since 1912-17.  The Red Wolves can clinch at least a share of the Sun Belt Conference championship with a victory at Louisiana-Lafayette.

Every Arkansas State football game has been televised the last four years, and entering the Louisiana-Lafayette contest, 79 of the Red Wolves’ last 88 outings have featured a television broadcast. The 2013 season saw every A-State game televised for the first time in school history.
